It has been an interesting week.

I’ve been working as hard as I can to simplify my life and refocus on doing what I really want to do: to help you succeed in what you want to do.

Yes, it’s a bit abstract and a little hard for me to wrap my brain around, but some interesting people have contacted me this week.

One contacted me on Ryze and I noticed that she was a member of the Feel Free to Prosper network, which was started and is managed by Marilyn Jenett.

In the introduction to the Feel Free to Prosper network, she says:

Marilyn Jenett spent 30 years learning and applying these principles to accomplish in the business arena. She recently released her corporate business, and is now teaching others, through her live and audio lesson and mentoring programs, to use simplified mental and spiritual based techniques to make more money, attract unexpected income, advance their careers or businesses or find that right job or more clients. In fact, these laws can be used to change any area of life. One can “prosper” in finances, health, love and relationships, creativity, or spiritually.

Students can use this network to share their results and successes, to inspire other members and to communicate with Marilyn and each other for the benefit of all. You’ll find excerpts from the lessons, valuable information and Marilyn’s views based on the laws included among the postings and testimonials.

I think you will find her network on Ryze to be interesting and I invite you to read what Marilyn has been posting for the last few weeks.

I joined her network and look forward to participating there as I find useful thoughts to contribute.

PS. For those of you who know me, I was not surprised to see a picture of a castle on her network page. “Build a castle…”

Something interesting has been happening over the last year or so.

When looking for places to promote my businesses, I found a new social networking site called Powerful Intentions and set out to create a presence there. Come visit my Powerful Intentions profile, if you would like.

At the time, I was not aware of the Law of Attraction and had no real interest in it. Now, this is not true for my life as a whole, just for my focus last year.

Many years ago, I was very interested in things related to manifesting our own reality and spent quite a bit of time learning and trying various things.

Now, fast forward to last October or November…

My friend, Linda Miller, was talking about “The Secret” and I started seeing it everywhere I went, especially on Powerful Intentions.

I learned about Abraham/Hicks and read one of the books. I started thinking about manifesting reality rather than working so hard to make it happen.

I got a copy of The Secret in December and didn’t know what to think about it the first time I watched it. I liked it better the second time, and I plan to watch it a third time this afternoon.

Last Thursday, I watched Oprah’s show on The Secret movie and book, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot since the show.

There are a couple of forums on Powerful Intentions where you can learn more about The Secret and the Law of Attraction. Join the discussions or just lurk, as you desire.

To join in the discussion, I’ve added a new section to my A Year From Now Forum dedicated to discussing The Law of Attraction.

I am inviting people who want to discuss these topics to come to my forum and join in the discussion.

I am grateful for…

• …all the wonderful people in my life.
• …being born into a loving, caring, honest, and hardworking family.
• …the woman I married. Even though we grew apart we remain good friends and I love her.
• …my daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids.
• …all my friends, many of whom have been friends for over 30 years. You have been with me through good times and bad. You have taught me valuable lessons. Together we have experienced life.
• …clients who allow me to provide services for them.
• …customers who purchase goods and services based on my recommendations.
• …the many associates I have met online. Sharing knowledge, experiences, and opinions helps us to grow into better people who are able to provide better service and live better lives.

The more I appreciate the great people I know, the less I like the pushy, greedy, and bad-mannered people who intrude themselves into my life. Today, I fired a couple of clients, several customers, several MySpace friends, and this week I’ve unsubscribed from dozens of mailing lists, newsletters, and blog subscriptions.

I am deleting many business accounts that have me “spinning my wheels” so I can concentrate more energy on the ones that are producing quality results.

I am separating from the people who bring me no joy and attracting the ones who inspire me to grow and flourish.

It is time for me to refocus my efforts so I can do more of what I enjoy doing and stop doing the make-work and non-productive tasks that bogged me down over the last few months.

I’ve tried a lot of things in my business over the last year, and most were abject failures, but the experience helped me identify what is useful and uplifting and differentiate between them and all the time-wasters, psychic black holes, and energy vampires.

We are known by the quality of our friends and associates. I hope being associated with me is good for you. I appreciate you.

I am growing better all the time.
