Elizabeth McCoy's parents were: John McCoy, born February 17, 1764 in Fairfield, South Carolina, died September 17, 1836, buried Phillips Methodist churchyard Cemetary; and Charity McCoy (unknown last name), born 1773, died July 9, 1820, Laurens, South Carolina, buried beside her husband.
