Brainstorming with Search Engines

One of the really useful things I learned from Ken Evoy's Make Your Site Sell! is the art of brainstorming keywords.

Not only is it important to select keywords that represent what's actually on your page, it is also vital to identify the keywords that are being searched by people trying to find you and your products, and then write the pages that address those interests. I am not suggesting that you should ever lie by using keywords that don't represent what you offer. I'm saying that, if you offer a service or product, it behooves you to research the best keywords, determine how often those keywords are searched for, find out how many competitors you have for those keywords, and then use the mix that works best to present your actual products and services in their best light. That's one way to identify the Unique Selling Proposition that differentiates you from everyone else out there.

It's also what will get targeted traffic to your site -- people who are looking for what you offer and want to buy. It's not the hits on your site that make you a success, it's the visitors who purchase what you're selling.

Well, now, I don't have to write on this subject, because Ken Evoy already wrote it and did a much better job than I ever would have. Whe he re-wrote his Affiliate Masters 5-day free email course, he covers the subject of brainstorming keywords very well. I do have to say, as my only criticism of this course, that he mis-named it. It's not just useful to people wanting to learn how to sell through an affiliate program, it's useful for anyone who wants to sell anything on the Internet. That said, let me stress that you get the entire course for free, with no obligation. Ken will use his own web sites as examples and he'll do his best to persuade you to purchase from him, and that's an education in itself! But, there's no gimmick. You can take this course for free and learn a great deal about selling anything on the Internet.

In early 2004, because of the huge increase in spam, the email version of this course was discontinued. However, you can download the same course in the form of an ebook in .PDF format.

For a free, no obligation, course on choosing proper keywords, getting listed in search engines, building traffic to your site, and building a website that sells, download the Affiliate Masters course.
