Finding, creating and using
graphics in a crafts business
There are many ways of acquiring graphics for your business. Lots of sites on the Internet allow you to use free clipart on personal sites. Most require you to purchase a collection of their clip art before using it on a commercial site, however.
Here are some places I've gotten graphics. Perhaps they'll be useful for you as well.
Dover Publication's Pictorial Archive Series
Dover Pictorial Archive Under terms of their licensing, I am using many of their images with permission, and so can you. Click on the link for a listing of some of their books in this series. I've purchased many of them and intend to purchase even more.
Much of this art is also available already scanned and stored on CD-ROM in their Dover Electronic Clip Art This is a real time saver if you expect to use a lot of the art.
Search Amazon.com for all clip art software or Macintosh clip art software.
ClipArt.com
Clipart.com. Unlimited access to more than 2,500,000 clipart images, animations, photos, fonts, and sounds! Yes, I know there is lots of free clip art on the net, but you never know for sure if you're violating someone's copyright when you get art just anywhere, and ClipArt.com makes it easy to find excellent graphics and other resources.
