I still don't know what to say about everything that happened on September 11th. For two weeks I looked for ways I could help. I donated what money I could afford and then I took a week or so designing new t-shirts featuring the American flag or designs incorporating stars and stripes.

I opened a store at No Sanctuary for Terrorists and 100% of my proceeds from it as well as CafePress.com's profits from the sale of the design will go directly to the Red Cross.

I created another 11 designs and I'll donate 50% of my proceeds from those designs ($2.50 per purchase) to the Red Cross. You can see those designs at USAFlagWear.com. Please wait for the page to load. I've listed many other items featuring the American flag and similar patriotic themes. Almost all of the companies linked to on that page have either made substantial contributions to the Red Cross or other relief agencies, or a portion of the proceeds from the sale of those items will be donated. We're not trying to make money on the blood of the victims.

I've also decided to donate $1.00 from the sale of any other shirts, mugs, hats, and so forth available in my stores located at Shirts-Mugs-Hats.com and WhitewaterShirts.com for the rest of 2001.

Finally, I've decided to donate 50% of the selling price from the sale or auction of any of my Steel Roses for the rest of the year, and possibly beyond. You can see them at TheRoseThatNeverWilts.com, and even though I haven't had a chance to update those pages, the 50% donation to the Red Cross is in effect now.

I'll also be donating at least one rose to eBay's Auctions for America later this week.

Also, please note that I've been having trouble with my email for a couple of weeks and several hundred incoming messages were deleted by my ISP. If you contacted me in August or September and I didn't respond, I probably didn't get the message. Please write again.

I realize that you can make a much larger donation by donating directly, and I have information on the pages above that give ways you can donate directly to relief agencies. However, if you are looking for patriotic items to wear, music to listen to, or books about our new international situation, consider purchasing from me or someone else who will donate something to the Red Cross. Working together, we can help. I wish I could do more, but lots of small donations add up. Please do something to help, and thank someone who serves and protects us whenever you get the chance.
