It's been a strange week here in North Dilbeckovia. (For any newcomers, that's my home. South Dilbeckovia is my smithy.) I had a birthday and, as usual, re-evaluated what I'm doing with my life. Specifically, I ask myself if what I'm doing now is what I want to do for the next year. I also ask myself if I'm doing what I would be doing if I knew for certain that I would die before my next birthday. It helps me to concentrate on what's important to me. I've made a few changes this week, and the main result is that I'm going to have more time to concentrate on my lightcarving and metalsmithing businesses. I'll be having some announcements about Dilbeck Lightcarving in the very near future. I'm excited about what I will be doing, and hope it is something that others may like, as well. I've cut my hair and trimmed my beard so my face doesn't catch on fire when I start putting it down near the forge, again, and I'll be getting back to blacksmithing for the rest of the summer and fall. I took all of June off to work on some marketing plans and put some new sales channels in place. Now, I have to spend the next few weeks, in the evenings, filling those channels as well as I can. Stay tuned, more to come. ** JD **   6:44:05 PM
