I finally have to admit it. I'm a failure. I set out to be a hermit, and I was making good progress, and then Appalachian Heritage Crafters came along...

Today, I'm going to be in meetings all day. I have a meeting at 8:00 this morning (and I am *not* a morning person) and another at 10:00 regarding AHC. Then a meeting at 12:30 with CPC followed by another meeting regarding AHC at 3:30.

At 5:30, I'll be at the Heritage Partners meeting at the L&N Depot.

Who would have thought that I, of all people, would be getting involved in all of these things?

But then I remind myself, if not me, then who. If each of us isn't willing to do a little something to make our community better and to do something to help our neighbors in our own way, then who is going to do it. I'm not looking for a pat on the back or anything like that. It may sound that way, but I'm not.

I may be a failure at being a hermit, but I'm getting back on track being a citizen and a neighbor. Even through my sleep-deprived haze, I'm looking forward to the day. Later, y'all. **JD**    7:29:52 AM
