Thoughts and ideas as they occur to me.

CafePress.com A few months ago, I learned about CafePress, a company that lets you design stores (for free, and they pay you when the product sells!) to sell your designs on tshirts, sweatshirts, mugs, and mousepads, with more products coming soon. I set up a couple of stores to sell products with my Steel Roses on them. (You can see the store links in the left column of my home page a JohnDilbeck.com.)
Last month, I purchased one of my shirts to wear for advertising purposes. When I received it, I noticed that the top-right portion of the design didn't print and it looked like the image had folded over when they did the heat transfer, yet it was good enough for what I wanted. I did, however, write them and mention that it had passed by their quality control staff. I told them I was satisfied, however, because it was doing what I wanted.
I received a reply that they were going to replace the shirt, and today I received a shirt with the image printed perfectly.
I wrote them the following message, 'I was surprised (very pleasantly) to receive this message that you were going to replace the shirt I ordered. I think that was more than expected and certainly is to your credit as a company that values quality. I'm even happier to be a part of your business (small part though I am). I received the replacement today and it is 100% perfect. Not only am I more than satisfied, I'm glowing just a little, and you're the first company to have that effect on me in months and months.'
