Pay It Forward -- by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Pay It Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Twelve-year-old Trevor McKinney plans to change the world, three people at a time. In Pay It Forward, random acts of kindness start multiplying exponentially until, before you can say, "Visualize World Peace," a movement is born. And a little child shall lead them... all the way to the movie theater. 10:36:55 PM
The Second Coming of Steve Jobs. The Second Coming of Steve Jobs by Alan Deutschman. Vanity Fair contributing editor and former business and technology reporter Alan Deutschman has written The Second Coming of Steve Jobs, a fast-moving, unsparing biography of the Apple Computer CEO and founder. A paradoxical man whose story seems to mirror the development of the personal computing industry itself, Jobs is portrayed here as brilliant, cruel, passionate, and idiosyncratic--equal parts pioneer and genius. 10:29:53 PM

It takes more than just writing a book... ...you have to market it, too. After reading about the changes taking place at MightyWords, I took some time to write a short article that points you to several resources that can help you write a book and market it yourself. That's what I'll do when I complete my next book. I also provided links to two email courses you can take, for free, that teach you about preparing and marketing e-books and writing ad copy that persuades, both of which are essential elements of successfully self-publishing your books. 9:53:46 AM
A Bad Ending for E-Authors . From the article: "More than 5,000 authors who have work for sale at e-publisher MightyWords received a letter Wednesday night. Half were invited to remain with the site and accept a royalties cut from 50 percent to 70 percent of what they're contracted for now. The other half had their contracts terminated, and as of the second week in December, MightyWords would no longer sell their titles." 3:49:11 AM
